Don't you agree that it is equally vital for your Hyundai that you love so much, to stay in shape?
Fitness training, to a human body is a process that focuses on individual parts. The shoulders, the legs, the back, the abs, the triceps, the biceps, the chest....each one has its own fitness regime. Like wise, your car too is but a unit built by several individual components, each of which need individual care.
Lets take a look at what's best for some of the different components of your car, to consistently give you uncompromised performance.
Engine Oil and Filter: Engine oil and filters tend to collect certain contaminants, which, if not removed for a long time, will lead to the oil additives breaking down, thus resulting in over heating. This increases the engine's wear and tear rate. Hence, get the oil checked regularly and change the oil every 3000 miles or every 3 months. Remember to get the oil filter replaced after every oil change.
Engine Coolant: The coolant comprises chemicals that prevent corrosion. When these chemicals (Silicates, Phosphates or Borates) are used up over time, the metals present inside the engine and the radiator succumb to corrosion, which leads to expensive repairs. It's advisable to get the engine coolant replaced every 2 years, or after 25,000 miles.
Timing and Drive belts: The belts will wear out after long periods of time. It is recommended they are replaced after every 37,000 miles.
Other parts, such as the Air Filter, Brake Fluid, Automatic Transmission Fluid, Tires, Spark Plugs and Wires etc also have their own maintenance standards, which may tend to make you assume “This is so mighty expensive!”.
